An Introduction to the game of Basketball

Mini Meteors is our introduction to basketball program for primary school aged children.

The program provides boys & girls with a fun and safe basketball experience. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion - fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.

The program consists of 1 hour skills sessions held on weekends, typically throughout September and is open to all boys & girls aged 5 - 10 years that have not played basketball before.

We endeavour to place children born 2013/14/15 (over age of 5) into teams for our Under 8's competition in the upcoming season. We try to group kids with others from the same school or kindergarten where possible.

The only cost involved in the Mini Meteors program is the stadium entry fee charged by Latrobe Leisure, this is approx $4.70 per session. Participants need to bring a drink bottle and a size 6 basketball with them.
