ALEX DELANEY SIGNS WITH ST FRANCIS UNIVERSITY
The Sydney Comets would like to congratulate current WABL and youth league representative Alex Delaney on her recent signing with NCAA Division 1 program St Francis University in Brooklyn, New York.
A skilled combo guard/forward with a high basketball IQ at only 18 years of age Alex has already a list of individual and team achievements that any player would be envious of. A leader both academically and on the court she has a remarkable record of being involved in seven successful state championship campaigns with the program.
Alex’s calm demeanour and positive attitude along with her commitment to investing time into being the best player she can be makes her an asset to any program.
Currently a New South Wales Institute of Sport scholarship holder Alex has represented New South Wales at six consecutive National Championships including most recently a second placed finish at Under 20 titles where she led the team in scoring.
From all of us here at Comets we would like to wish Alex all very best as she heads to the states to join the Terriers in August.
