The games this weekend should provide for some very tight games. With sides now starting to build a good structure and develop their teamwork the quality of football being played has lifted over the opening three rounds. After a week off due to the representative game last weekend, players will be fresh and ready to go in this weekends games.
The first game of the weekend sees BITS at home to BROTHERS. This should be a great game with Brothers starting to find some form after a slow start to the season. Their new recruits are starting to put their stamp on the competition and the return of young gun Aiden Colbourne last round with 5 goals proved how dangerous their forward line can be. BITS are also coming off a solid six goal win against Glenmore so it should prove to be a very tight game.
The second game of the weekend has PANTHERS taking on GLADSTONE. This is a crucial game to both sides with neither having a great start to the year. Panthers are currently winless and will be hoping to get their first win of the year. Meanwhile the Muddies have lost their past couple after winning their opening game of the year.
Panthers will be looking to Joel Ralph to get them going, named BOG in the representative game last weekend, he is one of the premier players in the competition. The Muddies have a very young side and it will be important that these players step up in this game.
The final game of the round has GLENMORE heading to Swan Park to play the undefeated YEPPOON. It will be a very big ask for the Bulls to get the points against Yeppoon who are playing as the number one team in the competition. Glenmore will have to win the contested ball in the middle if they are going to have any chance in the game. They do have one of the best midfield's in the league so this is possible, however Yeppoon's overall skill should get them the win.
