As the second best team of the last 4 years the Kangaroos will be looking to change that and become number one in 2011. 2010 was yet another successful year for the Kangaroos making their 3rd Grand Final in 4 years. Unfortunately for them it has only yielded 1 Premiership.
Shane Douglas has returned as President of the Kangaroos and for the first time in 5 years they will have a new coach. Tim Cotter has stepped up to the coaching mantel taking over from long time coach Tony Bishop. Bishop has been a great servant of the Kangaroos and they will continue to have his services as a committee member. Cotter definitely has the credentials to take over as coach and should do a good job.
As yet the Kangaroos have not announced any new recruits but no doubt they will be searching. The Kangaroos usually manage to pick up some quality players over the off season and no doubt there will be a few surprises when they take to the field for the first time in round 2. They started training on the 11th of January.
Prediction: Even though it will be their first year under a new coach I expect the Kangaroos to finish the home and away season in 2nd position.
