Nationa Federations complete RAT

While Cook Islands celebrate Olympic Week, National Federation with CISNOC are conducting one-on-one meeting to complete the Readiness Assessment Tool (RAT) as requested by ONOC / OSEP. The exerceise is proving beneficial to the NF's and the NOC, NF's are seeing where they can improve and areas which the NOC can assist and support. Feed back of the assessment will be sent to each NF next week.more

14 Secretary General's & 3 President's attend ONOC Workshop in Guam

The second workshop for National Olympic Committee Secretary Generals from 14 Pacific Island countries in Oceania is well underway in Guam. The first was held in 2011. Apart from Australia and New Zealand, the only other missing NOC is Nauru.more

Important for NOC’s to be here says ONOC SG

Oceania National Olympic Committee (ONOC) Secretary General Ricardo Blas is disappointed that Nauru not is not at the 2nd NOC Secretaries General workshop in Guam. “Very important for them to be,” said Blas. The four- day workshop began on Sunday and is attended by 14 of the Pacific Island NOCs. Blas says the workshop is important for NOCs to know the direction in the next four years (quadrennial)more

2017 Beach Games a success....

The inaugural week-long Beach Games got underway on Monday 13th February and ran through to Saturday 18th February at the National Beach Volleyball Courts in Nikao. 3 sports made the first Beach Games a success, with Handball, Touch and Volleyball and for next years games, we will see more sports participate and be involved, as Cook Islands prepares for the 2019 ANOC World Beach Games.more

As part of the Kia Orana Festival organised through Cook Islands Tourism, CISNOC organised with a few of the National Federations to host a Beach Games event, with Beach Handball, Beach Touch and Beach Volleyball. Oceania athletes to join 8th AWG - Sapporo 2017

Kuwait, October 30, 2016: The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) is delighted to confirm that athletes from the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) will take part in the OCA’s 8th Asian Winter Games in Sapporo, Japan, next February.more

New Administration Officer for CISNOC

Another recent appointment for CISNOC is Administration Officer, Melanie Wilson. From the code of Athletics, Melanie Wilson has experience and knowledge in Administration after hosting a successful and regional event for Athletics in 2014. New CGA Administration Officer for CISNOC

CISNOC has currently employed a new person that will take over the affairs of the Commonwealth Games Association from this year to 2018. Augustine Kopa, currently graduated from ICECP Programme from the sport of Aquatics, has been appointed as the CGA Administration Officer for the Cook Islands CGA.more

CGF General Assembly 2016 in Edmonton

Sports leaders from 71 Commonwealth nations and territories have started arriving today in Edmonton, Canada, for the Annual Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) General Assembly. The 2016 General Assembly, takes place from 5-7 October 2016 at the city’s Chateau Lacombe Hotel. The Secretary General of CISNOC, Robert Graham and Senior Vice President, Anthony Turua is in attendance for Cook Islands.more

Team Cook Islands heads off to the Commonwealth Youth Games which will be hosted by Bahamas, 17th - 23rd July 2017.

 

Oceania Handball Tournament to be hosted in the Cook Islands from the 31st July - 5th August 2017

 

Oceania Rugby - Cook Islands vs Tahiti here in Rarotonga on the 4th August 2017, which will be played at the BC Stadium.
