In a rough and tumble contest, the classy Ducks came away from the clash with all three points. Unfortunately, Deakin’s goalscorers for the day were not submitted by the club.

On Friday night, Surfside Waves hosted Barwon at Shell Road Reserve and scored a late second half goal to win 1-0. Alexis Pearson scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute of the game.

Kardinia College hosted bottom side Geelong SC on Saturday at its Bell Post Hill campus and cruised to a 3-0 victory. Captain Bella Murphy-Bowen led by example for Kardinia, netting a second half brace with goals in the 65th and 88th minute, while Sofia Harrop contributed with a strike in the 74th minute.

Looking ahead at this coming weekend’s Round 16 fixtures, the match of the round will be the clash between Kardinia International College and Surfside Waves at Shell Road Reserve on Friday night, with kick-off set down for 7.30pm.

On Saturday afternoon, Barwon and Drysdale will meet at 3pm at Grovedale Reserve, while Geelong and Deakin Ducks will clash at Stead Park also at 3pm.
