In Round 10, the Men hosted the Toronto Dingos in Hamilton. Being short on numbers after the long weekend, the Men were only able to field 12 players. Despite having low numbers, the Wildcats put up a valiant fight. Goals were scored by Kinga, Settle, Justin and Visser. Best on ground winner was Justin and the Hard Hat went to Travis. Final score was 4.1.25 to 18.9.125 for a loss.
The Women travelled to Toronto to play the Central Blues in a game that was televised by RogersTV. With a great showing of commitment, 15 women suited up for the game, with another 2 injured players making the trek in support of their team. The women were able to move the ball around extremely well with crisp hand passes out of contests. The team welcomed their 7 national team players returning from their weekend competing in the 49th Parallel Cup in Fort Lauderdale and their improved skill and experience definitely shown through on the field. Goals were scored by Jackie, Lise, Joanna and Danielle. Best on Ground went to Lise Kiefer and the Hard Hat went to Liz.
With their 5th win, the Women look to have secured at least the 2nd spot in the ladder. Coming up in Round 11, the Men travel to Ottawa to take on the Ottawa Swans. The Women will be playing a make-up game that was originally scheduled in May against the Etobicoke Kangaroos. This will be hosted at Mohawk Park in Hamilton at 2 pm.
