CONGRATULATIONS! Rams into Grand Finals

Rams Win Major Semi's

On a memorable sunday at Popondetta Park, the Macarthur Ram's fielded two teams that had both finished in the top two to earn a place in the National Premier League NSW Women's 1 2014 finals.

The -15s squad secured their place in the Major Semi after finishing second on the ladder, just 2 points ahead of third placed FNSW Institute. After a fantastic season that included just one home loss at Lynwood Park, the -15s Rams scored an impressive average of 2.3 goals a game (3.1 at home), with Eliza Ammendolia and Summar Richardson top scoring with over 10 goals each.

The Rams will now meet the winner of FNSW Institute v Blacktown Spartans in the Grand Final

First-Grade dominated their competition this year but suffered a number of setbacks after securing an early Premiership in late July. However the Rams showed their depth and quality as they tackled a NWS Womens Koalas outfit that had already upset them twice already in the normal season. With both teams playing seasons deserving of a Grand-Final place, it was the Koalas that held the head to head advantage going into the anticipated clash. However it was the Rams that ran away with the show, winning in convincing fashion five goals to one.
