On Sunday morning, away at Keilor Park SC, a group of passionate, strong young girls debuted the club’s very first Under 9 Girls team.

It was an historic and proud moment for the club, not only for this group of girls representing the club for the first time, but that they were lead by Moreland Zebras’ very own Under 16 star, Olivia Veneziano.

Though playing difficult opposition, the girls played with great energy, created exciting chances and stopped Keilor’s attacks on many occasions. From the looks on the faces of the team, it was the first of many great experiences they’ll share playing the game.

The girls displayed all of the qualities that we hold dear and have endeared themselves to everyone that has watched them train and play.

This is a great reflection of the football program Jason Czorny, our Girls Coaching Coordinator, has brought to the club. His commitment and drive is already leaving a lasting impression. It truly is an exciting time with plenty of fun and a positive footballing culture.

Welcome to the family girls! Keep making us proud.
