G'day Roos,
May is upon us, and already the season is in full swing. The Cowboys are 2-0 up on the Bears, and we've seen some cracking footy played under sunny skies.
Although the Spring Cup still has three rounds remaining, our focus turns to our upcoming tournaments. First up is the Bow Valley AFL 10s Championship held in Banff on Saturday, May 25. We'll be playing against some quality Aussie expats, but that doesn't mean Calgary can't come away with the silverware.
Next is Kelowna Cup, held on Saturday, June 8th. It will be our first 18-a-side hitout for the season, and we'll come up against some strong outfits from Edmonton, Vancouver, and Vernon. Make sure to get along and prove that Calgary is the best in the west.
For all those budding officiators, we've been lucky enough to lock in a level one coaching accreditation course with our own Peter "Doc" Dinnick, National Umpire Director for AFL Canada. If you're interested, please get in touch with us via email: info@calgarykangaroos.ca.
If you haven't committed to strap on the boots, now is the time! Click on the link below to register. We offer flexible payment plans; get in touch with us before you register for more details. As always, for more information regarding our events, check out our Facebook page and website.
Cheers,
