It was a dirty day for the Tigers this week, apart from the under 19 who had a good win against last year’s premiers on what could only be described as a bizarre day weather wise. For the second time in a row our home game was hit with wild weather with the reserves bearing the burnt having to leave the ground when a serve hail storm hit. The Under 19s were terrific showing just how much they have improved as a team this year, Reserves started well kicking four first quarter goals, but struggled to hit the score board thereafter as Boronia took the points and the Seniors never really rose to the challenge going down by 42 points in a lack luster performance DON’T FORGET to check out the website @www.mitchamfc.com early NEXT WEEK for the coach’s reports. NEXT week we have a bye and look forward to recharging our batteries #strongandbold BIG THANK YOU to Debbie Stingell and Paul Corris for another week of excellent Photos including some wild weather shots
UNDER 19s COACHES REPORT
Predicted weather forecasts and the fact that Boronia Under 19's had lost their previous match, had us aimed at a quick start. To the credit of everyone of our boys they delivered. With our back six set up and operating very well, scoring was made very difficult for our opposition, allowing only the 4 scoring shots for the day.Our forwards were served well by our midfield who constantly set up scoring opportunities, whilst also being prepared to run both ways to apply pressure to the Boronia midfielders. What I am most pleased with is the fact that as a team we played a very good quality of football across the 4 quarters in what were far from great conditions.
Best Players: Tim Ross, Jarrod Moore, Harry Prout, Josh Hopkins, Josh Valle, Max Hammond.

RESERVES COACHES REPORT
Never in my day have I seen conditions like we experienced in the 3rd qtr on Saturday to the point where the umpires took the players off the ground in consideration of their safety, on return the grd that was already wet turned into a skating rink after the hail left snow like conditions. Unfortunately for us the 3rd qtr was our turn with the wind which was of no real advantage after the down pour. Our 1st qtr was terrific as we kicked 4 goals to 2 and were on top however Boronia kicked a late goal at the end of 2nd qtr to close the gap to 6 points. After the hail the game was a real slog with both sides committed to the contest, to their credit they played the difficult conditions better than us with more composure by foot especially to kick the only goal of the 2nd half to close out the win by 7 points. Our boys were brave as once again through effort and endeavour, we had to call on 3 x 19’s to help us out so thanks to Harry, Brad and Hoppo. Well done to Frosty who was super all day , Captain Tsolos and Bluey were also in our best. Week off which will be great to re-charge and rest up as we head home for the last 5 rounds, huge thanks to our supporters for braving the day!

SENIOR COACHES REPORT
This week we hosted the reigning premiers in Boronia. We had lost to them earlier in the season so we were keen to reverse the result.Prior to the game the heavens opened up, so the game was always going to be a tough slog. After we kicked the first goal of the game, Boronia got on top as they won the ball around the contest and spread much harder than us to take a 12 point lead into the ¼ time.In the 2nd quarter Boronia continued their ascendency around the footy and extended their lead to 24 points at the half time break. The 3rd quarter was a slog with only 3 goals kicked for the quarter as Boronia increased their lead to 28 points at ¾ time.In the last quarter Boronia continued to win the contested footy and drive the ball forward to run out victors by 42 points.Carson MaCartney was outstanding all day across half back and Lou Marro applied a heap of defensive pressure for us all day.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us in shocking conditions, we look forward to seeing you out at Templestowe after the bye.
