As always the off season has been a busy one with the club looking to add some talent to our improving list. The club have secured the services of several key players over the last few months and continue to deal with several others over the coming weeks. These new additions along with the return of premiership players Rob Petracca from injury and Josh Bell who is back from overseas put the list in a very good position going forward. Finding the right players at the right age has been our goal over the break and we are confident we have added some real quality for the long term future of the club.

The club welcomes our new recruits to Tigerland and looks forward to seeing them on the park in the coming months.

Ryan Handley: 26 Years Old (Baywater FC)

Ryan joins the club after spending the last 7 years at the Bayswater Football Club in which four of those years he was Senior Vice Captain. A very good user of the football, Ryan plays at either end of the ground as a half forward or half back.

Anthony Willenberg: 26 Years Old (Mulgrave FC)

Anthony comes accross from opposition club Mulgrave. A good sized forward who can go into the middle and impact the game. Willo is looking forward to spending more time in the guts where he will add some much needed height to our on ball brigade. Judging on Willo's pre season so far he hasnt missed a beat so we look forward to seeing him in action come the season proper.

Lockie Ryan: 26 Years Old (Mulgrave FC)

Lockie is another recruit from Mulgrave who had taken a short break from football before signing on with Mitcham for 2017 with good mate Ryan Handley. A quick and skillfull winger who can go forward and do some damage. Another very handy addition to the club.

Matt Gordon (Left): 30 Years Old (Yarra Glen FC)

Will Gordon (Right): 25 Years Old (Yarra Glen FC)

The Gordon brothers add some much needed height and size to our list. 25 year old Will is a ruckman who uses the football well arond the ground and uses his size to benefit the people around him. Older brother, 30 year old Matt Gordon is a strong bodied centre half forward / full forward who takes a very good contested grab and works hard up the ground. Both boys have impressed coaches and team mates on the track over the last few weeks. Two key position players who will add great value to the list

Marty De Luca: 26 Years Old (Mulgrave FC)

Marty played with Senior Coach Neil Winterton when he was also at Mulgrave. A highly skilled player who can play at either end of the ground and have an impact through the middle as well. He's training over the last few weeks has been first class and you can tell he is dedicated to getting the best out of himself at every opportunity. We look forward too seeing Marty on the park next season.

The club continues to work on several other recruits and hope to announce some exciting signings before the christmas break. Keep an eye on our facebook page and website to stay up to date with all things Mitcham!
