Some would say two outa 3 aint bad but we missed the seniors THIS WEEK going down to Mulgrave in a tight tussle. Under 19s and Reserves faired a lot better both recording strong victories. The real winner this week was the Mitcham Footy Club who run what can only be discribed as an absolute cracker of a love your sister ladies Lunch. The Brain child of Gavin Ward who like many was touched by the effect cancer had had on the Gilchrist family and together with Junior President Craig Giles and the support of senior president Matt McCubbin the event was born and it was decided all proceeds would go to love your sister and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Fair to say the entertainment was outstanding with plenty of laughs and not a dry eye in the house when Connie spoke. Kerry Freer an EFL Board director did an outstanding job as MC, Comic Dave O’Neil had the room in stiches and Sam Johnson Wowed the room as only Sam can do. Gavin Ward made sure the event delivered plenty of cashola to the cause with a rapid fire auction and young Lexi daughter of Kerry performed a rousing rendition of I am woman.
BIG THANK YOU to Glenn Newham for his tireless efforts in helping arrange and set up the room, Dane Wilson for once again organizing the food and to the four musketeers Kristy Grace, Sharon Wilson, Catlin Porter and Kate Serong For their tireless efforts in helping put together the event
Thanks also to the many sponsors and people that have donated in particular The Mitcham Football Club Major Sponsor Adam Harris from Fletchers real estate, Total Tools Mitcham, Federal Member Michael Sukkar, Vicky and Tom peace from Peace wines, Nickos tavern and Two brother’s café Mitcham and last but not least Thanks to all those ladies that turned up an made the event the outstanding success it was
Reserves Coaches Report
Saturday saw us go 2 in a row with a convincing win by 6 goals against Mulgrave, our score board pressure early in the 1st qtr was telling putting on 4 quick goals led by Lou and Mark with 3 of them, it was great to see these boys back after their trip away. Mulgrave never gave up and challenged us in all the way in the first half. We came out in the third qtr and kicked away then continued to hold out and get the points. Nails in the ruck dominated with on ballers and Tommy B ran all day to rack up plenty of touches, Truddy played his best game for the club cracking in and making a contest across half fwd. Very pleased with this result giving us 8 wins for the year, looking forward to this week and finishing off the season with another. Thanks again to all the supporters, your cheers mean a lot to the group.

Senior Coaches Report
This week we played our last home game for the season against Mulgrave, we were looking at winning back to back games for the first time since round 2. We started very slowly and didn't show the required desire throughout the first quarter and found ourselves down by 3 goals at quarter time. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were much better as we lifted our work rate and contested ball winning numbers. At 3 quarter time we were down by 5 points coming home with the breeze. Unfortunately in the last quarter we fell back into bad habits of playing safe down the line footy and were outplayed to finish with a disappointing loss. Tyler Arrowsmith continued his fine season down back and Tugga Miles was super all day through the midfield. Thanks to all the supporters who came down for our last home game of the season. Special thanks to everyone who attended the ladies luncheon and raised so much money for such a great cause and WELL DONE to the Under 17s on a great victory and the under 11s on a great season. Hopefully we see everyone out at Wantirna this week for our final game of the season
