The Mitcham Football Club is pleased to announce that Norwood premiership player Zak McCubbin has signed and since been cleared to the club this week and will be available for selection next round.

Zak comes to the club in the prime of his career having played all his junior football at Norwood including the last two division one senior grand finals. Ranked last season in the top 35 players in the Eastern Football League, he has played TAC Cup football for Eastern Rangers and represented the EFL at senior interleague level.

Zak said he was excited at the prospect of helping The Mitcham Football Club consolidate its position in division 2 and even more excited about joining his cousin Macca and uncle Jim at the club. The pull of family is very strong for me and the opportunity of joining my cousin and uncle at a club they have helped rebuild, was too good to pass up. That being said I am grateful for the opportunities the Norwood Football Club have given me and the premiership success of 2014 will always be a footballing highlight for me.

Welcome aboard the Tiger train Zak and good luck for the remainder of the season #strongandbold
