A close contact is someone who has been face to face for at least 15 minutes, or been in the same closed space for at least 2 hours, as someone who has tested positive for the COVID-19 when that person was infectious.
If you are a close contact of a person with confirmed COVID-19 infection in Australia, you need to be isolated for 14 days after you last saw that person. Home isolation applies to all close contacts, even if you are well. It is important to monitor your health and report any symptoms as early as possible.
Refer to:
Casual Contact
A casual contact is defined as someone who has had face-to-face contact for less than 15 minutes cumulative over the course of a week, or been in the same closed space for less than 2 hours, with a person with a COVID-19 infection while they were infectious. This may include healthcare workers, other patients, or visitors who were in the same closed healthcare space as a case, but for shorter periods than those required for a close contact. Other closed settings might include schools or offices.
If you are a casual contact, you do not need to self-isolate unless you have symptoms (although the close contact does). You should monitor for symptoms for 14 days after your last casual contact with the person with COVID-19. Refer to Casual Contacts Factsheet.

TO OUR COBRAS MEMBERS
1ST JULY 2020
ALL PEOPLE ARE TO READ AND UNDERSTAND THE GUIDELINES EMAILED
The Cobras Executive Committee has reviewed the Phase 1 Return to training guidelines provided by Football Australia and Office of Sport
We have been given council approval for our plan to resume training from June 1st 2020 under these guidelines
Phase 1 requires all clubs, players, volunteers and parents adhere to the guidelines for training to resume safely with social distancing the key factor. They key points are
What is allowed in Phase 1
- Training to be conducted in small groups (no more than 9 players and 1 Coach per quarter of adult field ).
- Social distancing of 1.5m between players.
- Spacing so that there is no more than 1 person per 4m².
- Non-contact skill training drills - passing, shooting, headers.
- Some sharing of sporting equipment already allocated to team ( Balls & Cones)
- Maintain reasonable levels of hygiene to minimise the risk of infection
- Parents and Siblings are to remain in car or outside fence lines
- Toilets open
- All Players to have own drink bottle labelled with NAME
What is NOT allowed in Phase 1
- Contact to Contact playing such as tackling
- Activities Involving more then 10 people
- Spectators/Parents or Siblings at the Park on the field ( must stay In car or outside fence line)
- No Facilities Open ( Canteen/Change rooms or sheds)
- No using borrowed equipment from club ( goals/agility poles)
- If a player is sick do NOT come to training
To allow for this distancing we as a committee will be introducing
- Allocate field space to each team (attached Map)
- Allocate training times on each field (Attached times)
- 15 minute break in between for a team to leave before next team arrives
- Utilising Both Riley and Hurley Park for training
- Complete Attendance record for training for each team
- COVID Person for communication - Peter Ellington
Under these changes no team or player is being forced to return to training.
If people feel it is too difficult as a team to return under these guidelines or a parent is not comfortable returning at this stage you do not have to return to training.
If you will not be attending training you must tell the coach though so they can plan accordingly
Coaches will be responsible for telling players if they are in GROUP A OR B for their team as per the map.
Players are to go straight to their area so make sure your kids know where to go
Players are not to meet and huddle as a whole team at the beginning or end of training or in between . They are split to meet the guidelines please adhere to it
If people are not adhering to the guidelines we will close training for the whole club. We are only allowed to resume based off our map and training schedule and that people will adhere to it
Thanks all and welcome back
