Carroll commits to a third season

In a show of stability it was announced at the 2018 Cottrell Medal night that Carroll had committed to his third season as league coach.  Carroll who was awarded the Subiaco District Senior Community Coach of Year in September said he was glad the re-appointment was out of the way so the club could start it's search for a new assistant coach for 2019.

"We have put a mountain of work in this season, adding 24 new players and getting the reserves team back on the park but I definitely feel we haven't achieved what we set out to do and I couldn't leave a job half done" he said

"From a list perspective we probably need to add 8 more player capable of playing regular Leauge footy, whether that comes from developing from within, from recruiting new players or a combination of both.  If we can do that it will create more competition for spots and strengthen both grades"

"With some very excitong things happening at the club off the field, my main focus is returning Warwick Greenwood back to the top of the MFL"

In another fill-up for the club it was also confirmed on the night that Reserves Coach Shaun Oates will continue in 2019
