AGM 2017, Wednesday 1 November 2017

Dear Members,

Over the past six years, our club’s executive have done an incredible job building our club into a great place for kids to learn the game of AFL, get active outside and have fun with their friends. Led by a committed group of volunteers, we have created a great club with a culture we’re all proud of. After long tenures, a number of the club’s executive and committee members have decided not to nominate for re-election, and as a result these executive roles will need to be filled at the upcoming AGM.

These changes present a great opportunity for some new volunteers from our membership to shape the future of our club. There are also a number of vacant committee positions that need to be filled, including a new position of social media and website  coordinator. Thanks to the outgoing executive and committee members, the club is in a strong position with a growing playing membership in excess of 220, fantastic equipment and sponsors as well  as established processes & procedures. With so much of the hard work done, this is a wonderful opportunity for a new crop of volunteers to continue the momentum of our club to ensure we provide opportunities for more people to enjoy AFL.

Please give some thought to the contribution you could make to our club. Everyone’s time is precious, and we want ensure that the ask of committee members is reasonable and manageable. With this is mind, there are opportunities for more than one person to take on committee member roles to share the workload.

If you’d like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0409 061 670. If you would like to nominate for any positions, please email an expression of interest to by Friday 27 October. We will be holding our AGM on Wednesday 1 November at 7:00pm at the clubhouse at Akuna Oval.

Many Thnaks

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
