We are transitioning to an online gear store managed by the manufacturer, Tribal Sports.

We have some stock in hand, ready for purchase, until sold out. Please see David Pawsey at training or email the club at info@thegapdragons.com.au to organise an item to be brought to training. Payment is via card at training.

Once we have no stock (e.g. Training tops SOLD OUT)  members can order online and have it delivered to the club. It will then be brought to training/games for distribution. The prices are the same whether online or through the club.

The online store is at: https://www.tribalsport.com.au/product-category/sports/afl/the-gap-dragons/

Current restrictions do not allow items to be tried on so please consult the sizing chart (taken from the online store) and order the closest size.

See the 'Dragon's Gear 2020' pdf at the bottom of this page as a guide.

An email has also been sent out with the gear prices and size charts document. Please email the club if you would like it sent to you again or download it below.

Playing guernsey sizes are required for each player to determine the playing numbers for each player and teams. Sizes will be taken at each training session until June 27, where guernseys will be presented to each player. Make sure your players size is reported to the coaching staff. Use the size chart for 'Training Tops,' to find your size.

The Gap Dragons are keen to hear from anyone with an interest in becoming an umpire for the club, starting at Superstars (Under 6.5) through to under 10.5.

It’s fun, so have a go! No costs are involved, and you receive payment for your time and effort.  Learn crucial life skills involving decision making, assertiveness, leadership, effective communication and responsibility. You will make new friends and get fit too!

We will teach you the rules of AFL, so there is no requirement to have any prior knowledge or experience. We will equip you with all you need to know and ensure that you are adequately prepared with the knowledge to competently administer the duties of a field umpire.

Future aspirations! Who knows what may lay ahead for you. The AFL has established career paths for promising umpires with state and national representation and elite training squads. This could be the beginning of an extremely successful and rewarding career as a top grade AFL umpire. Imagine umpiring at either a packed Gabba or MCG, in control of a match involving the best footballers in Australia!

  • You umpire Saturday mornings at Gap Dragons ground only (no travel required)
  • You get paid for each game you do
  • Uniforms are supplied to you by AFL Brisbane Juniors
  • You’ll get the chance to be part of and work with fellow umpires (we’re a team)
  • You will able to attend training sessions with AFLBJ to learn how to umpire
  • You don't need to have played AFL to actually be an umpire.
  • Games we umpire for are Superstars, Under 8s, Under 9s and Under 10s
  • Will give you a better understanding of the game
  • Will subconsciously and cognitively make you a better player
  • Support from the Gap Dragons (we’re a family friendly club)
  • Support and tutelage from our Umpire Co-Ordinator

If interested contact Brent May 0481 566 441 or honka5@hotmail.com – he is the Umpire Co-ordinator for both The Gap Dragons and Ferny Grove.

When players play their first game for The Gap Dragons they will receive one of our special Players Guernseys, emblazoned with our fearsome dragon. We wear it proundly each time we play.

At the end of the season, all players will also receive a trophy at our special Presentation Day.
