New Lights for the Den

The Mayne Tigers have been working away for a number of years on a project to bring the lighting standard on Oval 1 up to modern expectations and to be able to play night football.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of many people in raising the enormous funds required to put this project together, it all came together last week with the testing and auditing of the four new towers.

Grants have been received and committed from Brisbane City Council, the State Government, the Federal Government and teh AFL but also significant funds have been provided by the Everton Wolves and the Mayne Tigers to get this over the line.

An official opening and launch will be held soon once COVID restrictions permit to celebrate this initiative and thank all of the people who have made this critical asset development a reality.
