Round 3 - Panthers defeat Mayne on their home turf

It was wonderful to get the win last week as it was the first time Caloundra has beat Mayne since the formation of the new competition.

The win was due to an excellent defensive effort all over ground.   The pressure applied by every player created more opportunities to attack and eventually score.   Our forward entries improved slightly this week although this is an area that we need to continue to focus on.

There was a fairly even contribution by all players with a special mention to Tom Rudolph, James Barnes, Mitch Torres and Braydn Hughes.

Final score Panthers 69 def Mayne 48

Goal Kickers: T. Rudolph 3, C. Taylor 2, . Smout, J. Barnes, A. Lloyd, T. Patton, T. McPherson
Best Players: T. Rudolph, J. Barnes, B. Hughes, M. Torres, M. Lacey, B. Hole
