They say a pciture tells a thousand words and when the attached rain radar map was downloaded early on Saturday morning, at least afew of the words it proffered were synonymous with 'bring flippers, not footy boots'. Legends game to curtain raise for final season game

To celebrate 30 years of community football in the Northern Rivers, a 'Legends Game' featuring former greats of the two clubs will curtain raise for the final game of the 2014 home and away season between the Ballina Bombers and the Lismore Swans on the 16th of August at Fripp Oval in Ballina. All past players are invited to participate. Funds will be raised on the day for breast cancer research.more

This week, the Lismore Swans tackle the Ballina Bombers at Mortimer Oval. Reserves start at 1pm and Seniors 2pm, full canteen available, come and bring the family!more

Round 1 - Hard win for Seniors and first hit out for Reserves

Lismore Headed to Robina on Friday night and came away victorious after a hard fought game against the Kangaroos. In a first for the Northern Rivers community football, the Reserve grade side played before the seniors, narrowly going down to Robina in a spirited competition.more

Round 5 - Swans Stand Strong

The Lismore Swans stood strong in Saturday's match to hold off Bond Uni in an excellent game of football at Oaks Oval. The Swans knowing the importance of this match dug deep to take out a 20 point win.more

The Lismore Swans produced a solid performance for 3 quarters in Saturdays Grand Final rematch against the Tweed Coast Tigers but faded away in the final term to go down by 20 points.more

Unfortunately the Swans as keen as they were for this weekends match will have to wait another week before they can put the boots back on. Next weeks match is the Grand Final Replay between the Lismore Swans and the Tweed Coast Tigers at Round Mountain.more

Round 2 - Swans lack fire

The Lismore Swans after producing an outstanding performance last weekend followed up with a very disappointing performance this weekend. The Swans travelled to Carrara to take on the new side in the competition and had their feathers clipped by 29 points.more

Round 1 - Swans uphold premiership form

The Swans commenced their 2012 premiership defence in strong form running away in the final term to defeat Ballina by 44 points at Oaks Oval.



The Lismore Swans are now training on Oaks Oval whilst Mortimor Oval is under construction.

Training is at 5:45pm every Tuesday and Thursday night.

Pre-Season Carnival - 'CALL TO ARMS'

The Lismore Swans hosted a successful CALL TO ARMS carnival on the 10th & 11th of March. Teams competed from Warwick, Jimboomba and Lismore in the Swans first hit out of 2012

The weekend will be a 'Call To Arms' event with the Cancer Council. All players to wear yellow armbands to promote men's health awareness and the Lismore Swans in conjuction with the Cancer Council aim to raise funds for cancer

Swans brave in Samson Challenge

The Lismore Swans sponsored by the Richmond Hotel participated and worked hard as a team in Sunday’s Lismore Samson & fitness Challenge. Awesome foursome Morgan Hindry, Darren Moncrief, Michael Brown, and George Massa battled out against Lismore’s fittest in gruelling event held at Lismore’s Mortimor Oval. The boys tackled the sandbag carry, the 300km tyre flip, push prowler, 3km run, the swim, another 3km run, rowing and obstacle course in the Swans first and successful completion of the Samson Challenge. All participants worked hard together as a tight unit and never left a team mate behind. A very brave and solid effort by the boys who represented the Lismore Swans in the battle of the fittest, very proud of you boys!

LISMORE SWANS, the Summerland AFL's 2011 premiers, are seeking players to join the club for the 2012 premiership season.

Pre-season training has already begun, twice a week -- Tuesdays and Thursdays -- at Mortimer Oval (opposite McDonald's) from 5:45pm.

The Lismore Swans have broken the premiership drought to come from behind to defeat the Tweed Coast Tigers in a thriller and an outstanding performance by the Swans.

The Lismore Swans would like to invite all players, partners, supporters and sponsors to the Swans Premiership winning presentation night dinner this Saturday the 10th of September at Miss Lizzies at the Richmond Hotel. The night will commence at 5pm with the first hour being happy hour drinks. The night will include Best & Fairest count, Awards, AGM, and dinner followed by after party premiership celebrations.

The Swans would like to invite everyone interested to attend. Cost is $25 per head and is a formal event (formal dress is expected).

Swans through to Grand Final

The Lismore Swans have defeated the Ballina Bombers in Saturdays preliminary final by 27 points to advance through to its third consecutive grand final appearance to be played at Oaks Oval next Sunday afternoon.

The Lismore Swans have produced a strong performance to run all over Byron in Saturdays knock out semi final at Lismore's Mortimor Oval.

A great effort all round by the boys who produced some exciting football to watch in front of a Lismore's biggest crowd of the season.

The Swans now have a week off and will take on the looser between Tweed Coast and Ballina in a fortnights time.
