Sea of purple at grand final day 2011
Well done to all of the South Geelong Kings junior boys and girls, the team's coaches, managers and parents who participated and won their age groups at the 2011 summer season grand final day at Life Be In It.
While our young girls won the open women's Division2 championship during the week it was the under 12 boys starting the Saturday grand final feast with a close win getting up in the last minute to take the title of summer champions.
The under 15 boys then came up against a strong Bullets outfit and were neck and neck all game until our boys pulled to a 10 point lead with 3 minutes remaining to hold onto a solid win and claim the title.
Not to be outdone, our under 14 girls saw the Kings verse the Kings in an inter club final to again give the club that warm feeling of producing when it matters on the court.
