The U17’s had a good tussle, with the game being close all game. As Bret said to the boys, they need to talk more, as they had the general run of play for a lot of the game but let themselves down with their lack of communication. With a number of new players, I am sure this is one of the areas that will improve.
Best Players: M. Wright, J. Wakefield, D. Pierce, N. Karakizos, M. Bourke
The 2’s were dominate all game. With a few experience campaigners leading the way and some good inclusions of new players, they really put a good 4 quarter effort together. They will be looking at continuing this form today
Best Players: Tim, B.T, Marcus, Pig, Dobbo, & Mick
The Seniors knew they were for a hard game, with the Bulldogs after revenge from last years finals lose, and that’s exactly what they got. It was a fast paced and physical game, with both teams having an even 1st quarter. The Bulldogs has a 10 minute purple patch in the 2nd quarter and got away to a 5 goal lead, but to the boy’s credit they fought back to be within 1 goal at half time. The 3rd quarter was all the Demons as they powered away to a 4 goal lead and held onto to score a good win. All players contributed in a great team effort. Best Players: Matty. Lehane, Gav, Becks, H, Jim & Wrighty
Unfortunately Jugger couldn’t come along to the Lake View to enjoy the win, due his new “Dad” responsibilities’. Congratulations to both Jugger and Lauren on the arrival of their son, Hadley on 31st March. The bets are now on as to what will be little Hadley’s 1st words --- Will it be “Game Plan” or Structures” or ??
