Junior Team Announcements - Winter 2020

Teams for the upcoming winter season have been finalised and we wish everyone a safe return to basketball.

Given the current environment, not all players will be returning for the winter season so we have had to merge some teams, meaning some players may not be playing in their best division.

With this in mind, we ask all members to embrace the return to basketball as a chance to just play, get accustomed to the new COVID safe measures and to reconnect to the game and the basketball community.

For those players yet to complete their registration in the new PlayHQ system, the link can be found on the attached list for each respective team.

PLEASE NOTE: You must have a current registration in the PlayHQ system in order to take the court.

If you have yet to collect your uniform, we will be available at Try Boys Stadium this Sunday afternoon - 19 July. Our junior coordinator will be in contact with you soon to advise a collection time.

Game fixtures will be release by Geelong United later this week and we will keep you updated with any other important information as it comes to hand.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.

Club Philosophy

The Sharks Basketball Club exists to provide a safe, happy and healthy sporting atmosphere for children and families with the emphasis on the joy of competition, rather than just winning, whilst providing quality leadership for the juniors in good teamwork and exemplary sportsmanship.

It strives to provide opportunities for girls and boys to develop their skills and to compete at a level of competition within their individual capabilities.

The Club supports and openly encourages all player's aspirations and dreams to fullfill their basketball goals to a higher level of involvement, whether playing, coaching, refereeing or other Club involvement.
