This weeks preview is brought to you by Crabtrees Commercial Real Estate - leaders in commercial & industrial real estate in the Sth East Suburbs. This week the seniors and reserves take on 3rd placed Old Carey at home. This will be a big challenge for both teams - the seniors need a win against a good team and the reserves need another win. The U19s go to Monash Blues again with an early start.
The seniors will have to be right on their game both defensively and offensively. We will have to be fully alert 100% of the time because the opposition will be ready to pounce. However the game is winnable as we have the tallent if we concentrate and play smart football.
The reserves will be looking for two in a row and this is a big chance if we go in with the right attitude. Training was good this week and we just need to carry that onto the field.
The U19s have a morning game at Monash so an early night might be in store. Monash are inconsistent and can be beaten on their off days. Another winnable game.
The Haileybury 1st XVIII play Xavier at home and are still searching for their first win. Xavier are near the bottom of the table also and so it will be a big game at Keysborough.
This week the committee is trying something different with an afternoon tea at half time so members, supporters and visitors can have a big cuppa and a tasty snack at half time. The bar will be in full swing straight after the match. We will be running another raffle for dinner for 2 at the lobster cave - gotta be in it to win it - drawn in the bar after the match.
