NAB League Boys: Round 12 Preview

It's time for revenge as the Western Jets once again meet the Calder Cannons. Last time they met it was the Cannons winning in a tight victory, the Jets fell hard on poor mistakes on that day which cost them the game. Fortunately, the Jets have a few returning stars. Darcy Cassar has returned from Vic Metro, Saad El-Hawli and Lukus Failli are back and Jai Haines will make his debut this Sunday. Unfortunately, Daniel Pantalleresco will miss due to hamstring problems.

Possible key matchups

Harrison Minton-Connell vs Daly Andrews

Minton-Connell was an absolute destroyer last time he played against the Jets. With 30 disposals to his name on the day, he caused the Jets real strife. Daly Andrews has been a solid contributor for the Jets but may need to shut Minton Connell down early. He's missing his tag team partner in Daniel Mott so he might not be as dangerous this time around.

Ned Gentile vs Josh Kellett

Kellett has been on a roll since the start of the season. His defensive work is elite and works well in a very organised backline. Gentile is a forward who loves to push up the ground. He has kicked 8 goals for the season but Kellett might stop Gentile in his tracks if he is given that responsibility.

Curtis Brown vs Archi Manton

Manton is currently the leading goal kicker with Aaron Clarke. In Clarke's absence, he will look to continue impacting the scorebord, and be a key pillar in the Jets forward line. This week Manton may have to face another tough defender in Curtis Brown. Manton has the height advantage on Brown, and will be hoping to add to his 2019 goal kicking tally with a big performance.
