Round One Knockout Cup Result
Playing in round one of the knockout cup a under-strenght Kyneton side never gave up against a team playing several divisions above. The side missed many of the regular faces, however those playing did the club proud with the never give up will.
After being one all at Halftime, the team fought to the end going down 3 - 2.
Goalscorers were Jake Sartori and Benjamin Plant, both young upcoming players for the club

Yesterday we kicked off season 2013 playing a side who will be playing State League 5 this year. Chatting to a player post game, they were at full strength outside of their keeper. To go down narrowly 3-2 is a great effort guys. Well done.
Ben Plant was exceptional in goal and showed plenty when playing in midfield, scoring a great header. We had tonnes of pace up front with Jake and Christian, and Jarryd and Angus from wide positions. This made us look threatening at any point. With good passing in midfield between Ryno and Niko, we showed how dangerous we will look this year with the right ball and pace up front. Great ball Nik, great finish Jake. Our defensive line was solid, especially given their attacking talent. Well done Dave, Gramsi, Jack and Coley. Gutsy Stuff.
Play of the day:Reece jumping a fence to escape the affections of a not-so friendly dog. He scaled that fence sharper than any of his turns that leave defenders for dead.
