Round 13
Coleraine Vs Branxholme/Wallacedale
Down we go to a very frosty Branxholme to take on the cellar dwellers and the Maroons came home with just the one loss for the day.
With all bar the Under 15's and C-Grade still fighting for finals spots, today saw some very handy results.
Seniors
The boys did a good job today to keep their composure as a couple of Saints weren't exactly on their best behaviours.
The Maroons played with only two on the bench and with a few young rising stars getting some Senior experience, they were far too polished for Branxholme, winning by 115 points to keep us on top. Can't get complacent though as we have tricky games ahead of us
Reserves
The Reserves were also a bit down on numbers, but arrived nearly without an opposition.
Branxholme did a great job to scratch up a bunch of very young locals to help put a team of 14 on the park to celebrate one of their blokes 300th game.
The game was played in very good spirit and the Coleraine side were very respectful of the effort that Branxholme's youngsters were putting in, but came away with a 158 point win to keep the teams momentum up.
A-Grade
With Branxholme just outside the 5, the girls had to be wary of their opponents.
Coleraine were in no mood to be generous and came home with an excellent 31 goal victory that keeps them in the battle for 3rd spot.
B-Grade
A very, very important game for B-Grade as a loss would be very costly for our finals chances.
Thankfully the girls put it all together well to claim a handy 11 goal win to warm up for the next 2 games which could decide who plays in this years finals.
C-Grade
C-Grade dragged themselves off the bottom of the ladder with their second win for the year against Branxholme.
Our girls played some of their best netball all year and doubled the Saints score with a 14 goal win.
Keep it up girls, we knew you were improving !
Under 17's
The Under 17's were very, very fortunate not to be embarassed by the bottom placed team with a lucky 1 goal win.
The side just couldn't get rolling today, but did a good job to win despite this to keep their finals hopes alive.
Under 15's
After a brilliant showing last week, everyone was hoping that today would be the day for the U/15's to get their 1st win of the year.
Sadly though, the girls couldn't quite match last weeks performance as Branxholme got their highlight for the day by defeating us by 11 goals.
Chins up girls, maybe next week !
Under 13's
With the freezing conditions, our Under 13's were in a seriously unfriendly state of mind and tore up the court to destroy Branxholme by 37 goals.
They gave the Saints nothing at all throughout the match and ran all over the court (possibly in a desperate effort to warm up !) and kept Branxholme to just a single goal.
We are home to Dartmoor this week, so make sure you are there to cheer us on !!
