PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Kangas is a family club and expects parents to be involved in their children's basketball, including sharing scoring duties, hall supervision during training sessions and team managing.  If you have experience in basketball and are interested in coaching a team, that’s great too. Finally, our Club is run by a small band of volunteers and we’re always eager for new members to contribute their skills and expertise.

REGISTRATION FEES

Full registration fees will be payable by all players except for the following circumstances:

Players of Friday Night teams which do not train will pay a reduced fee, the amount of which will decided on by the Committee

Players of designated “non-training” teams (these teams will be identified by the Co-ordinators), will pay the same reduced fee as Friday players

Under 8 players will pay a reduced fee, the amount of which is set by the Committee

Sibling discounts of 25% off the registration fee apply to third (and subsequent) individual child(ren).  Discount does not apply to single children playing in multiple teams/competitions.To access a refund, use the “Request  for a refund” link on the ‘“Information for Players” of the Nunawading Kangas Basketball Club.

The family of a coach will be entitled to a refund of registration fees for one player, for the subsequent season. The amount of the refund  will be set by the Committee. This will be paid directly to the coach from the club not through PlayHQ. The refund does not include the Basketball Victoria Annual Player Licence. The family of a Committee member will be entitled to the same refund on registration for the subsequent season. If a family holds more than one position eligible for a discounted registration (eg: parent is a coach and committee member or parent has coached two or more teams), one discounted registration is applicable per eligible position per season. That is, if hold two positions, two discounts apply.
