JUNIOR REGISTRATION INFORMATION Winter 2024

JUNIOR REGISTRATION
The Winter 2024 season will run from 20/4/2024 to 14/9/2024
ALL registrations must be made through the Play HQ Registration Portal.
Players cannot be allocated to a team or take the court until registration is completed.
To assist our volunteers to create the teams and assign training times please complete registration by 23 March 2024 to secure your child’s place in a team.
Late registration may result in your child’s place being allocated to players on our waitlist.

The registration link to register your child/ren to the Club for Winter 2024 is available on Team App for existing players. If you require assistance with accessing Team App please contact the Club or your existing coach/team manager. JUNIOR SEASON FEES
Sunbury Lions Basketball Club collects a club fee each season from each player to assist with the costs associated with competing each week (court hire, match fees etc).
The Lions Committee has reviewed the Club fees and due to some successful applications for Grants we have been able to keep costs down. This has allowed us to keep our Club Fee at $170.00 for the Winter 2024 season.
Fee Payment
This season the fee will be collected during the Play HQ registration process on the payment page.
Fee Structure
Costs associated with registering to the Winter 2024 Season are as follows:
Basketball Victoria Licence Fee: $29*
*The Basketball Victoria Licence Fee is charged by Basketball Victoria once a year. This fee is compulsory to play basketball anywhere in Victoria and the Club is unable to offer discounts on this fee. If the fee is due to expire at any time during the season you are currently registering to it will be charged on the payment screen.
Basketball Australia : $5.50**
**Game Development Levy – the Game Development Levy is being implemented by Basketball Australia to support the growth and development of basketball at all levels of the game and to enhance opportunities for the sport. This fee will be charged once per year. More information can be found at:

Club Fee: $170
Sibling Discount:
6% (Play HQ will automatically deduct $10.20 off all siblings registered using the same parent Play HQ Log-on)
3RD, 4TH etc Sibling Discount. Prior to completing registration for 3rd and additional siblings please contact the Treasurer below to discuss additional discount applicable and obtain the appropriate voucher code.
Financial Hardship or temporary assistance: if you are requiring assistance with making the full fee payment please contact our Treasurer, as shown below, to discuss payment options prior to proceeding with this registration. We do not wish to see any junior player miss out on the opportunity to play and are happy to discuss a solution with you.
Government Get Active Kids Vouchers – at this time we are waiting on information regarding whether there will be another round of Get Active Kids Vouchers. As this is a State Government program we are not in a position to confirm IF or WHEN this might occur. Planning should occur to arrange options directly with the Club ASAP.
