The forwards may get all the glory, but the midfield supplies first use. The Saints have many players who rotate through the middle, so let's have a look at the blokes who love getting down and dirty.
- Jack Lawton - Only a second year player who loves getting in and around the packs. Is a pest on the field and is developing into a quality tagger
- Tom Williams - Quick, agile winger who can provide a heap of run down the flanks. Doesn't have too many bad games and has been ultra consistent for the Saints this year.
- Darren Pithers - No one is harder at the ball than the man known as Pitho. Puts himself in harms way with little regard for his own safety and none at all for anyone in his way.
- Fraser Hughes - The man with the most playing experience on the Saints list (save for D. Gleeson). Gets in and under the packs and always seems to come out with it. Ugliest kicking style ever seen, but usually effective.
- Ben Mutimer - First year player at the Saints who is a real hard nut. Goes at the ball at a million miles an hour and has shown has alot of improvement this year
- Adam Rooney - Easily the most dedicated trainer in the history of the Inverell Saints. Never misses a session and is now reaping the rewards by becoming a better player.
- Mick Corley - The man from Ireland has taken to this game like an Irishmen to a pub. Loves to get in and dirty, and actually led the Gilles Medal count after 5 Rounds. Great defensive player who will never shirk an issue
- Dick Gleeson - The old fella is probably not strickly a midfielder, but when he is thrown into the middle, you know he will never let you down. Great footy brains, he always lifts when it counts
- Stewart Walker - Has spent plenty time both forward and back, but seems to have found his home on the ball for the Saints. Will win the tough contest and provide the ball on a platter for the forwards
- Jono Elphick - Another player that spends time both forward and back, his run and carry through the middle helps get the Saints across the advantage line. Quality player, pest of a human
- Dan Corcoran - Hard runner who can play anywhere on the park. Loves to get in the contest and has improved out of sight this year.
- Ben Lee - Tall ruckman who has made the transition from the Rugby easily. Puts in a big effort every match and has learnt the art of rucking. Provides first use of the ball at every contest.
- Chris Pay - Tough, uncomprimising competitor who loves a contest. Will put in his best each week and never backs down.
