It was a successful
trip up the road last week for the Saints, cementing a finals spot for the
fifth year in a row in the TAFL.
The win was scrappy, but at the same time there were plenty of positives
for the Saints to build on. It was
also the first time since Round 6 that the Saints had put together 2 in a row,
and they will be looking to make it 3 this weekend against the Bulldogs.
It looms as another
huge test for the Saints, who fell to Bulldogs by 2 points the last time these
teams met. However, the last time
the Dogs made the trip to Inverell, it was the Saints who scored a convincing
win. This match is potentially a
preview for the Minor Semi, with the teams battling for 3rd and 4th
spot, the only difference being percentage. Therefore any chance to get one over on the other team is
important in the run to the finals.
It will be another
great match down at Varley in the Saints last home game for the Home and Away
season. A win all but seals
another home game in the Finals, but a loss means the Saints will face 4 weeks
on the road if a Grand Final appearance comes about. It’s time to put in a big performance and hopefully a big
crowd to see it!
