The Western Magpies are now officially out of finals contention after a disappointing 36 point loss to Surfers Paradise at Chelmer on Saturday, 19-17-131 to 14-11-95. QAFL/NEAFL Mini draft complete

Every NEAFL player now has a QAFL home as well, after three mini-drafts held this week.

NEAFL teams have a primary list of 35 players, meaning up to 13 players could be available to play for the QAFL club to which they are aligned, each week.

Each NEAFL player has an aligned QAFL club, based on their playing history or the geographic club alignment.

Magpies looking long-term in 2014 QAFL

The Western Magpies are starting from a clean slate in 2014.

U16s Training Camp

Some great shots from the U/16'S CAMP held at the Magpies club last weekend.

The boys were put through there paces over the weekend with some fun cross training drills and of course, skills and game sense footy drills. All players stayed overnight at the club.

QAFL Draw released

AFL Queensland today released the 2014 Queensland Australian Football League (QAFL) draw, marking the first season of the restructured competition

The season will commence on April 5, with the final home and away round to be played on August 23. The 2014 season will consist of 18 rounds played over 21 weeks with each club playing 18 matches.more
