Ken Follett has been heavily involved and a great ambassador for both the Great Southern Football League and AFL Masters SA for many years.
Ken received his Great Southern Football League Life Membership as a player in 1985 and AFL Masters SA Life Membership in 1995.
The Ken Follett Medal is voted on by the umpires of the AFL Masters SA, awarded to Great Southern Super Jet players on a 3 Vote, 2 Vote and 1 Vote basis. (3 votes being adjudged the fairest player)
The votes are not necessarily awarded to the most brilliant Super Jets player but the player who plays in the correct spirit of AFL Masters Football.
Rewarding fair play, encouragement to team mates, opposition and umpires, the votes are placed in a sealed envelope and revealed at the end of the Great Southern Super Jets season.
