Souths was established in 1974 and is one of the oldest basketball clubs in Mackay.  We play in the Mackay Basketball Incorporated (MBI) competition and has a strong tradition of success at both junior and senior levels.  The club is based at the Souths Leagues Club and plays all of the games at the MBI courts in Juliet Street.

Our club is for Junior and Senior basketball players in age groups from Under 8 through to the senior ranks. We currently boast a healthy 20+ teams in the MBI competition.  We welcome all new members and actively encourages family involvement. As in all sporting organizations our aim is to provide players with an activity that is healthy, energetic but most of all FUN.

Souths are proud of the players who have represented us at a higher level in Mackay Rep Teams, Qld State Teams, NBL Teams and Australian Teams. 

Souths is always looking for new players and coaches at junior and senior ages and divisions.  If you would like to join our successful club we encourage you to send an email to our junior player registrar or contact one of our senior committee members for more information.
