Marek Matuszek
Marek has been a driving force within the TUFC since coming to Uni when Kermandie folded. Apart from holding the job of secretary he has coached, captained and assistant coached as well as being a key member in negotiations with the University. On the field he always gives his all and has shown his quality in front of goals especially in the Reserves. In his trademark helmut, likened to an armadillo, his toughness at the football shows his way for his team mates. As well as becoming a much loved member of the TUFC family along the way Mav has enjoyed celebrating premierships in 2015 & 2016.

Ben Beams (Senior Coach 8 years so far)
Ben commenced coaching in 2009 then returned in 2015 after 3 years with Glenorchy, becoming a premiership coach in 2016. Ben is a passionate football person who has the club, association and football in general at heart. He is an outstanding person with a great footy brain and a lethal left foot averaging 3.5 goals a game with the Rainbows. Over his eight years of coaching Ben has been a tremendous asset to the Uni football club on and off the field. Ben always look at where our playing deficiencies our and is very active in recruiting players to add to the Uni lineup.
Ben is fiercely loyal to his players and the club but also demonstrated his commitment to the OSFA this season playing an integral part in the development of the OSFA representative squad to take on the SFL’s best players in a one-off game. Along with Alex Gilmour and Ian Callinan, Ben selected and trained the squad and was the gameday coach, untimely leading the team to a win in the inaugural game between the two leagues.
With the arrival of the women’s team, Ben has worked with their coach, Gerry O’Dea to create an environment that is welcoming and encouraging to ensure the everyone feels part of the one club.
Ben understands the balance between work, family life and study and consciously works with individuals to get the best for the person and the club.
Ben has been supported by his family and currently two of the boys(Riley and Jordy) are playing seniors and another(Jake) is running water.
