Our weekend started in an adrenaline-charged fashion on Friday night when our First Grade Men took on the Gungahlin Jets at Football Park. Our boys were immaculate and used the ball well on a slippery night, winning 16.20.116 to 4.9.33. Liam Tutty was fantastic all night with a best on ground display; James Roberts was in the best players bouncing back from injury with a dominating game, and Mr Dependable Shae Darcy continued his impressive season being in the best again.

On Saturday morning, our Rising Stars Men turned the season around against a classy Marist side with a fantastic team effort. Harry Dickson set the tone with a best on ground performance in the ruck with Rohan Hoking and Liam Thompson dominating out of the centre in a great win: 10.11.71 or 5.12.42.

Our Second Grade Women ran into a strong Belconnen Magpies team. Zoe Langtry had a best on ground performance while Kristen Wilson and Emma Groves played fantastic games as the team continued to impress with a great win: 4.7.31 to 2.6.18.

The Second Grade Men had seven changes from last week. Coach Peter Jensen was able to get the best out of the changes with a dominating display and a win over the Gungahlin Jets: 28.8.170 to 4.0.24. Jack Ellis controlled the game and was best on the ground with Rhys Curran playing a fantastic game on the wing. Joey Kerin kicked truly in an eight-goal performance.

We ended the weekend with the First Grade Women’s team showing us why there are among the best teams in the competition, with a dominating performance winning 19.15.129 to 0.0.0 over the Gungahlin Jets. Meg McLaughlin dominated the game and kicked two goals in a best on ground performance. Georgia Gray, on her way to being one of the best players on the ground, used her speed and footy smarts to kick three goals, while Cecilia Maher made her first-grade debut and was impressive, finishing the game among the best players.
