Life Membership GFNC - 2012
A Gormandale kid Sticks played his Junior Football and the first part of his Senior career with Traralgon before coming out to the club as assistant coach in 1998 under Mark Stockdale. He was also assistant coach in 1999 before spending a year with Fish Creek, returning again as assistant coach from 2001 to 2006 and had a year as playing A coach in 2012. A magnificent mark and kick he played most of his 200 plus games at full forward winning the clubs goal kicking award a record 10 times between 1998 and 2010. He was also the North Gippsland Leading Goal Kicker in 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2010, and was the clubs runner up Best & Fairest in 1998 & 2001. Sticks regularly attends games with a daughter playing netball at the club, and helps the club out from time to time off the field. Sticks was awarded a Life Membership in 2012 on reaching his 200 games, joining his father Dusty as a Life Member, and was inducted into the clubs Hall of Fame in 2014.
