Nationals beat Airwaves in IP&E NBL 2013

Team Nationals 19 and Under showed character as they went on to beat Idid Airwaves, 98-62 Friday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Shell IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) played at the Palau National gym.

Leading 68-49 going into the fourth quarter, the Nationals placed the icing on the game as they outscored the Airwaves with a 30-13 run to take the win with O’Brian Ngemaes finishing the game with 20 markers as teammates RB Doradro and Edward Baysa chipped in identical 14 points, respectively.

On the other hand, Kyoshi Ngwal topscored for the Airwaves with 17 baskets on the losing end.

In other games, PCC Mesekiu won over Medalaii Stingers, 78-76; Peched Raw beat Ksau Imaging Solutions, 111-70; and WCC Hammers bested 4x4 Wheelers, 76-52.

Games resume tonight with Ksau Imaging Solutions versus Nationals 19 and Under at 6 p.m. as WCC Hammers will face Medalaii Stingers at 9 p.m. Games tomorrow will feature Peched Raw against 4x4 Wheelers at 7:30 p.m. as FR Spoilers will meet PCC Mesekiu at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matches will feature Breakers taking on WCC Hammers at 6 p.m. while Ksau Imaging Solutions will meet Ngermid Rivals at 9 p.m.
