Mesang Red Storm, Cardinals nail win in IP&E ABL

Team Mesang Red Storm and Hanpa Cardinals scored victories over respective rivals, Thursday night in the ongoing 2012-2013 season of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

Mesang Red Storm used their experience to escape a 74-73 win over the youthful National 17 and Under squad. Tats topscored for Mesang Red Storm with 17 markers as teammate John Stills added 15.

On the other hand, Marvic Ngchar paced the Nationals with 21 points while teammate Ray added 19 as they suffered their first lost for the season.

Meanwhile, the Hanpa Cardinals relied on the 15 point performance of Francis Tan to beat the Ranchers, 53-47.

In other games, WCC Hammers won over Ksau Imaging Solution, 68-62.

Games will resume tonight with Airvwaves versus Nationals 17 and Under at 6 p.m. followed by the Peches-Melngoes tussle at 7:30 p.m. as Ranchers will face Mesang Red Storm in the main game at 9 p.m.

Wednesday night games will have Cardinals taking on the Rivals at 6 p.m. as Blue Shark will meet Matakui at 7:30 p.m. while Ksau Imaging Solution will be pitted against Meda in the night cap at 9 p.m.

No games will be played on Thursday in celebration of Thanksgiving.
