ORIGINALS, BEG*FRIENDSTER SET FOR MBL FINAL
The Originals hanged on till the final buzzer as they managed to escape with a 75-73 win over the PPR All Stud. Jimmy Domingo led all scorers for the Originals with 22 points while Ricky Erese topbilled for the All Stud with 27 markers on a losing cause.
On the other hand, BEG* Friendster outpaced team Palibhasa, 93-87 to take the last slot in the championship round which will be played in a best of three series. Elmer Cuyugan had 21 points for the Friendsters while Bhoey Gopez had 32 baskets while teammate Jojo Marino added 29 for team Palibhasa on the losing end.
Game One of the championship series bewteen the Originals against BEG* Friendster on April 3 at 2.30pm, while PPR All Stud will face team Palibhasa for the battle for third place at 1pm.
The league is organized by The Filipino Community in Palau (TFCP) and sponsored by Shimbros International Inc., Sarah’s Yum-Yum Bar and Grill, Alpha Phi Omega, Food Connections, Roll “Em Productions, OTV and Palau Curtains and General Merchandise.
