ESC BOYS COMMENCE
In the first game yesterday MES Dolphins and KES A Stars played a super opening game to the competition. At the half time break it was the Stars with a slender 22-20 point lead but then the Dolphins came back with a big 3rd quarter to lead 38-33 at the last break.
The final quarter was a nail biter with the Stars coming home much the stronger but the Dolphins managed to hang onto the narrowest of wins, 49-48.
The National Men’s 15 Years Squad Assistant Coach, Jesse Sumor,saw the game and was excited at the amount of talent on show and it is likely that some players will be added to the National Men’s 15 Years Squad very soon. With the National Identification System now under way, National Coaches will continually looking for talent and in conjunction with the NRS (National Registration System) be able to accurately select players to future National Squad Programs.
The league continues this week with GBH Smuuch playing KES B Stars on Tuesday, SDA Kings meet up with MSS Sea Stars on Wednesday and KES A Stars will play GBH Smuuch on Thursday.
