It's Tuesday, July 22, and day 2 for softball at the Spanish Wall Field, with the women's teams for Pohnpei and Kosrae going against each other in the first game of the day.
Kosrae had the only run in the first inning. Team Pohnpei cheered all the way and were highly spirited, trying to distract Kosrae and at the same time boost their own players. It seemed to work, judging by the big run Pohnpei had, having three runs in inning number two, and seven more in the third.
Kosrae tried to fight back, scoring in two runs, but were clearly outplayed.
The game ended early in the fifth inning due to the seven run rule, which states, a game must be ended if the winning team is leading by seven or more in the fifth inning,. So for the opening match of the day, it is Pohnpei with a big 10-2 victory over Kosrae.
