Mitcham under 12 Boys
Teams: Mitcham 5.7-37 V Vermont 8.4-52
Summary The boys started very slow again. Vermont had 3 goals on the board before Luca kicked a terrific goal from the boundary line to open our account. To Vermont’s credit they out played our boys in the first half. A big effort was required in the second half. Our run and carry of the ball which was missing in the first 2 quarters found its way back into our game. We held Vermont scoreless in the third and kicked 4 goals giving us a 4pt lead going into the last quarter. We gave Vermont the ball back in the last quarter and along with poor skill errors and lack of effort, they kicked away. We get another chance this weekend, playing Croydon in a Preliminary Final. Good luck to Peter Costanzo next week in Canberra playing for the SSV Victorian U12 team, proud of your efforts.
Best Players: Noah, Lachlan, Ryan o
Goals: Ryan O 2, Luca 1, Tynan 1, Noah 1
Mitcham under 13 Boys
Teams: Mitcham 7.7-49 V Vermont 4.5-29
Summary: Waverley was the ground to battle for a spot in the Grand Final. Setting ourselves up for a win early was our primary goal at the bounce. Three quarters of great football insured the result we wanted. Lose checking in our back line allowed Vermont to get a couple of late goals but the job had been done. Now a fortnight away from the ultimate prize!
Best Players: Xavier. James f, Sam, Oscar, Matty, Liam, Lachlan
