The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Majier Garang for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

The 6’9 forward joined the SBL in 2017, during the 2020 West Coast Classic season Majier averaged 13 points and 13 rebounds a game with a field goal percentage of 52%. Coming from Kalgoorlie to Joondalup, Majier is one to watch this NBL1 West season.

Majier spoke to the Joondalup Wolves about signing in 2021 and becoming a part of the NBL1.

“Signing with the Wolves was a no brainer honestly. After seeing the guys fashion sense after our home game against them in Kal last season, I knew I had no choice. I had to come here and really just do everything I can to upgrade their style off the court. But nah, having an NBA level coach in Andrew was a big selling point for me, no one wants to be the same player they were the year before. These are a bunch of established guys and everyone knows this is the group you want to be a part of if you’re really looking to grow as a player.”

“Couldn’t be more excited to be here, we’re a scary group and will be looking at nothing less than the NBL1 championship.” Added Majier.

Joondalup Wolves CEO and Men’s Head Coach Andrew Summerville shared his thoughts on Majier signing with the Wolves for the 2021 NBL1 West season.

“When Maj became available we jumped at the chance to sign him. At 6’9 with his length and athleticism he is a beast in this league. I love guys who can rebound the ball and Maj can certainly do that. We needed an extra bit of height to cover us until our bigs from overseas get here so getting Maj makes us incredibly deep in the big man department. He is a different dude and he has a great personality so I think he will be really exciting to watch this year.”

Majier will be joining Lochlan Cummings, Seb Salinas, Reece Maxwell, Joel Vaiangina, Hamish Warden, Jordan Wellsteed, Jonathan Wade, Ben Ironmonger, Jacob Formosa, Robbie Huntington, Trian Iliadis, Matt Teale and Mitchell Newton on the Wolves Men’s 2021 roster.
