All U12 Representative Coaches & Managers are required to attend to finalise Burdekin QNJBC plans.
All other Representative Coaches and Managers are also asked to attend.
Dear Members,
The Annual General Meeting of Burdekin Amateur Basketball Inc. is on Tuesday, 11th March 2014 at 7:00pm in the upstairs club room at the Stadium. The AGM will be immediately followed at 7:30pm by the March monthly meeting at which final arrangements for our Burdekin U12 QNJBC meet, which is being held the following weekend 15th and 16th March, will be made.
I encourage as many members as possible to attend these meetings, especially the AGM where our executive committee for 2014 will be appointed.
The positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer/Assistant Treasurer will be vacated at the AGM and nominations will be sought from members to fill these positions for the coming year. Current office bearers in the positions of President and Secretary will not be seeking re-election so we are seeking at least two new members to join the executive committee in 2014.
We appreciate that life in general is very busy and acknowledge that some of you are quite involved in other organisations, however I encourage you to consider volunteering some of your time to fill these vital committee roles. As you are aware, Burdekin Basketball is a volunteer run organisation and without the assistance of its members, will not be able to continue to function. So again, I encourage you to consider volunteering your valuable time to assist the club in this way.
If you have any queries or would like further information regarding any of the above, feel free to speak with either myself, Sandra or any other of the current committee and “senior” members of the club.
