NEWS: Local clubs encouraged to apply to host 2018 Geelong Region Grand Final weekend
IN ORDER to run a successful Grand Final experience for all competing clubs and supporters, Football Federation Victoria (FFV) relies on the goodwill of a Club to host the Grand Finals on both the Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of September. In that regard, FFV would like to announce that applications to host this year’s Geelong Region Grand Final weekend are now open to all local Clubs.
To submit an application to host Finals and or Playoffs, please complete the following online form at: https://form.jotform.co/81757398207872
Please note that applications will close 9am Monday 16th of July.
Please note that (1) one venue will be selected to host both Grand Final dates. In that regard the successful application will based on the venues ability to successfully facilitate all Grand Finals over the course of these days.
The successful club will also need to cover all requirements as set out in the Finals Host Venue Requirements, which can be accessed at the following link: http://www.footballfedvic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/2018-HOST-VENUE-REQUIREMENTS.pdf
Host clubs will be responsible for, but not limited to: all pitch preparation (e.g. line marking, corner flags, goal nets etc.), match balls, stretchers and basic first aid for matches.
Furthermore, host clubs must run a canteen on the day.
FFV intends to announce host venues for the 2018 Finals & Playoffs by Friday 3 August.
