EXPRESSIONS of interest are now being taken for the Geelong Regional squads (both Boys' and Girls' teams) that will be participating at the 2019 Victorian Junior Country Championships in Ballarat.

At this moment in time, the dates and venue for the tournament have not been confirmed due to accommodation concerns in Ballarat over the Queen’s Birthday weekend.

Nevertheless, trials for the various Geelong Boys’ and Girls’ squads will commence in February 2019.

Although, the trials themselves will be free, the expected costs for successful players participating at the Junior Country Championships will be approximately $300.

The Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) is working hard to reduce this cost and sibling discounts and team sponsorship will help to further reduce this cost (e.g. in 2018 most players paid $195).

Registration is now open for all age groups, including the new U11 Girls (9v9 format).

They are as follows:

BOYS: U11s (North and South), U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s

GIRLS: U11s, U12s, U14s, U16s.

By registering your interest, the Geelong representative squad managers (GOFC Coaching) will send out more information regarding coaches and trials.

Note: ALL players will trial and play in their respective age groups. Registrations will close after the 3rd trial for each age group unless there are less than the Phase 2 allocated numbers.
