NEWS: Geelong's FFV Club Ambassadors attend Sports Rec Funding/Fair Play Code seminar

On Monday May 28, FFV Club Ambassador for the Geelong region Tonci Prusac and the FFV Club Ambassador for the Wimmera/South Coast region Foddy Kyprian both attended an evening seminar at the Deakin University Waterfront campus for Geelong based sporting and recreation clubs and associations.

Organised by Sport and Recreation Victoria, the seminar addressed Funding Opportunities for sporting and recreational club as well as the new Fair Play Code.

The evening was compered by SRV’s Tim Bourke and Mariela Pocklington, who was until recently heavily involved with local club Surf Coast FC and remains active in Australian football circles. The session was also attended by local State MP Christine Couzens.

“This was a fantastic opportunity to get a better idea about the latest funding opportunities available to our clubs, as well as report back to our clubs the newest trends and regulations with regards to running a club in (these) modern times,” said Tonci Prusac.

The pair will report back to the Geelong based FFV member clubs at the monthly Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) Delegates’ Meeting on Monday 4th of June.
