THERE will be no MiniRoos fixtures this weekend due to the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, but according to Northern Hub coordinator Steve Siketa, it’s an ideal opportunity to address a few issues that have arisen in recent weeks.

“Thanks to North Geelong for a great job hosting the Round 6 games last Sunday morning,” said Siketa in an email to club representatives this week.

“Now we are off to Lara for Rounds 7 and 8 following the week’s break for Queen's Birthday before we have a two week break for the school holidays.

“Could all clubs please ensure that all coaches and parents get a copy of the fixture as there is some important information on the fixture that all MiniRoo participants need to be aware of,” he continued.

- GAMES NEED TO START AND FINISH ON TIME (this is clearly stated on fixture so please get all coaches to adhere to this)

- NO DOGS SHOULD BE AT VENUE (last Sunday, three dogs were present - owners were completely unaware that dogs are not permitted at MiniRoos Venues. Could all clubs get this message out to parents and others who are attending)

The dates for the remainder of the 2017 season are as follows, with the hosting club in brackets. All clubs are urged to make these dates available to all the parents, so they are able to plan the rest of the year:

In the correspondence to the club representatives, Siketa revealed he would be away from Saturday June 24 until Saturday July 15.

“Draft fixtures for Rounds 8 and 9 will be available on Monday June 19 and finalised by Tuesday June 20. Clubs need to discuss with players and parents availability as some people will go away for extra holidays. Requests for Rounds 8 and 9 must be in no later than Monday morning June 19,” he added.
